...AND WHAM! STRAIGHT INTO THE SAND!
„…and wham! Straight into the Sand” is yet another show for toddlers (the third one!) prepared as a part of the “initiation” theatre, of which the Theatre of the Little Spectator is a pioneer in Warsaw. As in previous shows, you should not expect a fairy tale with a moral: the spoken word has been pushed to the background, and communication with children is based on fascination and discovering simple objects and activities together. This time they are connected with the subject of sand, since sand and its magic are an object of absolute fascination for children. So the stage transforms into a huge sandpit. Real white sand is poured down, in, out and away, it is spread and spilt. Actors, like little chemists, investigate the properties of sand and discover, with flushed cheeks, how to play with it and have fun. The performance is extremely vivid, warm and joyful, full of surprises, colours and attractive images. It is also funny, light and it leaves a lot of room for the children’s imagination. After the performance, as usual in Theatre of the Little Spectator, the children will be able to invade the stage and, together with their parents, discover the mysterious world of our sandpit.
